The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Coming from artistic parents flowers a budding artist. With no formal training, aside from a high school art class, I truly believe my talent is god given. 

At age 7, I once accompanied my mother to an oils class. I was intrigued by color combinations, color mixtures, brush strokes and techniques. I remembered some of these techniques in my adult life. My earlier works were crude (chuckle), but I had friends with artistic background who provided gentle critique. Then it was practice, practice, practice.

In my 57th year, eureka! I discovered the palette knife, the most liberating technique ever. It even surprises me sometimes.
